Rigid Insulation Boards

Polyurethane has been used for insulation since the 1930s. Rigid boards offer maximum thermal insulation for minimal thickness. Boards are recognised for their compressive strength, low weight, ease of installation and dimensional stability.

Jewson offers rigid boards from Europe-wide PIR manufacturer EcoTherm.

Benefits

  • Higher rate of return per square metre than any other form of insulation.
  • Ideally suited to flat roofs, pitched roofs, wall insulation, floor insulation and ceiling insulation.
  • Within 8 months the energy required to produce EcoTherm boards will have been recouped.
  • 1m3 of PIR saves 40km3 of CO2 - that's 60kg of CO2 over 75 years.
  • Extremely durable: will not rot, shrink, absorb moisture or decay.
  • Closed cell structure offers very high insulation qualities: save up to 50% on heating bills.
  • High compressive strength: ideal for use in flat roofs or roof terraces where access will be required for ongoing maintenance.
  • Easy to install and transport: lightweight, compact, easy to cut and simple to fit.
  • Fibre free: no skin irritation from handling.
  • Achieves Grade A in BRE's Green Guide to specification.
